M. Roberts Media announces leadership changes for Tyler Morning Telegraph

M. Roberts Media, the parent company of the Tyler Morning Telegraph, has announced several leadership changes as it positions the business for long-term growth.

Justin Wilcox has been named publisher of the Tyler Morning Telegraph and will continue to hold his role as chief revenue officer for M. Roberts Media newspapers in Tyler, Longview and Victoria. 

"I am very excited to get involved in the Tyler community," said Wilcox, who has 25 years experience in the newspaper advertising and sales industry most recently working in Tennessee. "The Tyler Morning Telegraph has a rich history in the community and we are committed to continuing our impact and growth moving forward. I am very fortunate to have a great team to work with."

M. Roberts Media President Stephen McHaney said Wilcox has been with the company for a short time, but has had a significant impact.

"I am confident that his leadership will help guide the Morning Telegraph to a prosperous future," McHaney said. "Justin has deep knowledge of the business and experience from across the country." 

Effective April 1, Bret Jacomet will begin his role as director of digital sales and marketing for M. Roberts Media in Tyler, Longview and Victoria. In this role, Jacomet will be responsible for growing digital sales and revenue for the newspapers as well as for the agencies focused on bringing marketing solutions to local advertisers. 

Jacomet comes to Tyler having been an industry leader in digital marketing for many years and with a track record for helping local and regional businesses succeed through thoughtful, targeted multimedia campaigns. 

"I am extremely excited about the opportunity," Jacomet said. "The market looks like a great place for me to be able to move to and contribute my experience."

Alyssa Purselley-Hankins has been promoted to advertising director in Tyler. Purselley-Hankins most recently led the Butler Creative Group in Tyler, an entity that has grown into one of the top advertising agencies in Tyler.
