Newscycle Mobile adds iPhone X support and UX enhancements

NEWSCYCLE Solutions has announced the Newscycle Mobile version 4.28 software update. The update adds support for iPhone X, Apple's latest iPhone model featuring a new all-screen design. The Newscycle Mobile update also includes a new video gallery andplayer, photo gallery improvements, article stream enhancements, app navigation updates and color options.

Released in September 2017, the iPhone X features an all-new 5.8 inch edge-to-edge Super Retina display. Designed to deliver an immersive, content-rich experience the iPhone X adds an additional 20 percent of vertical screen space for content. To add support for iPhone X, the Newscycle Mobile team converted apps to iOS 11 and created a new user interface. Prior to the 4.28 release, Newscycle Mobile apps utilized the more traditional "letterbox" format. With the latest release, news streams, articles, radar, videos and photos have all been optimized on Newscycle Mobile apps running on iPhone X.

Additional features in the latest Newscycle Mobile release include:

New Video Gallery and Player
The all-new video player experience makes video effortless and continuous. Videos play automatically as users scroll with the new scroll-to-watch design. In addition, publishers have the ability to monetize video in more ways with in-line native advertising and in-line video advertising.

Photo Gallery Improvements
Newscycle Mobile's photo gallery has been updated to fit into the familiar flow that users see in article streams, including a variety of teasers that lead to more scrollable photo galleries. By reducing friction, photo galleries can be used to keep users engaged longer.

Article Stream Enhancements
Newscycle Mobile article streams have been redesigned in preparation for the future of mixed media streams. Updates include support for sharing directly from an article stream; bigger, bolder and better fonts; photo size detection; and the ability to play audio directly from the stream.

App Navigation Updates
Designed to streamline apps, the core navigation has been updated to be brighter, customizable and take up less space.

Color
Options for full color top bars and color throughout the user interface adds life and branding to the entire app.
