Post-Star cited for 'littering' involving weekly paper

Posted

Post-Star Publisher Robert Forcey (Glens Falls, N.Y.) was served last Monday with seven counts of "throwing refuse on highways and adjacent lands" in connection with delivery of the weekly paper This Week to residents in Queensbury who complained about it.

The Warren County Sheriff's Office sought "criminal summonses" after an investigation into complaints by five residents who claimed they continued to receive the paper in August after they asked or tried to ask that delivery be halted.

Forcey is accused of allowing "unwanted" delivery of the papers. The charges are non-criminal violations, equal to a traffic ticket.
